TGF-β1 (Transforming Growth Factor-β1) is a key member of the TGF-β superfamily with broad biological functions, including regulation of cell growth, differentiation, apoptosis, and immunomodulation. In MSC culture, low concentrations of TGF-β1 help maintain MSC proliferation and stemness, while at high concentrations under specific induction conditions (e.g., chondrogenic differentiation), it serves as a critical inductive factor. In iPSC culture, TGF-β1/Activin-Nodal signaling is essential for maintaining pluripotency and is commonly used to drive differentiation toward endodermal and mesodermal lineages.
GMP Human TGF-Beta 1 Protein (GMP-TG1H25) is expressed from human 293 cells (HEK293). It contains AA Ala 279 - Ser 390 (Accession # P01137-1).

This protein carries no "tag".
The protein has a calculated MW of 12.8 kDa. The protein migrates as 13 kDa±3 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE).
