Source

Alexa Fluor 488-Labeled Human CD4 Protein, His Tag (CD4-HA225) is expressed from human 293 cells (HEK293). It contains AA Lys 26 - Trp 390 (Accession # AAH25782). It is the Alexa Fluor™ 488 labeled form of Human CD4, His Tag (Cat. No. LE3-H5228).

Predicted N-terminus: Lys 26

Molecular Characterization

This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.

The protein has a calculated MW of 41.5 kDa.

Conjugate

AF488

Excitation Wavelength: 488 nm

Emission Wavelength: 517 nm

Labeling

The primary amines in the side chains of lysine residues and the N-terminus of the protein are conjugated with AF488 using standard chemical labeling method. The residual AF488 is removed by molecular sieve treatment during purification process.

Protein Ratio

The AF488 to protein molar ratio is 2-4.

Purity

>90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Formulation

Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in PBS, pH7.4 with trehalose as protectant.

バックグランド

CD4 is a glycoprotein that serves as an essential co-receptor on the surface of T lymphocytes (T cells), particularly helper T cells. It plays a critical role in the immune system by recognizing and binding to major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II molecules on antigen-presenting cells (APCs), thereby facilitating T cell activation and immune response.
