BDNF is a potent trophic factor in the TGF-β superfamily, renowned for its powerful survival-promoting effects on specific neuronal populations, particularly midbrain dopaminergic and motor neurons. It is considered essential for the long-term survival and phenotypic stability of stem cell-derived dopaminergic neurons, a key cell type for Parkinson's disease research.
GMP Human BDNF Protein (E. coli) (GMP-BDFH15) is expressed from E. coli cells. It contains AA His 129 - Arg 247 (Accession # P23560-1).

This protein carries no "tag".
The protein has a calculated MW of 13.6 kDa. The protein migrates as 15 kDa±3 kDa under reducing (R) condition, and 13 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under non-reducing (NR) condition (SDS-PAGE).
