バックグランド

Human IgM, an abundant immunoglobulin in plasma, can exist as a pentamer (approximately 900 kDa) or a hexamer (approximately 1050 kDa). Its mu heavy chain comprises four distinct constant region domains. The detection of IgM-class antibodies is valuable for the diagnosis of infections.
